Background

I’ve always been fascinated by Western culture since I was a child. I loved Western music and TV shows (I’m part of the High School Musical generation) and grew up admiring Western culture.

During my school days, I studied abroad, but when I started my first job, it had nothing to do with English or overseas work.

Given my love for Western culture and study abroad experience, some might think living in Europe would be easy for me. However, despite my affection for Western culture, I often find myself homesick when living abroad. Of course, I love living in Germany though.

About This Blog

Why I Started the Blog

I moved to Germany after getting married and leaving my previous job due to my husband’s work transfer. Until I quit my job, my husband and I had never lived together.

When we arrived in Germany, we began our new life as a married couple. Without a natural community to belong to and no job, I felt a void in my heart despite enjoying my time with my husband. Consequently, I struggled to actively make friends or join communities.

In this context, I pondered what I could do to make the most of my time here and truly enjoy my life in Germany. That’s when I discovered blogging.

My Goals and Message Through the Blog

Through this blog, I want to support and encourage those who are taking on challenges abroad and strive together with you.

There are many aspects of life, language, and travel, and I hope my experiences can be helpful in some way. Currently, my main focus is to support those living in Europe as foreigners like myself, and those accompanying their spouses on overseas assignments. By sharing my experiences, I hope to be of some help.

I write this blog with the mindset of “Let’s do our best together!” for everyone out there. Additionally, for my own sake, I believe that consistently working towards a goal and making steady efforts will help me live with confidence.

I hope my experiences can be helpful to you in some way.
